Open House - US 183 North Mobility Project

Purpose: | TxDOT, in cooperation with the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority, will host an open house for the 183 North Mobility Project. The purpose of the open house is to discuss the purpose and need of the project, discuss preliminary alternatives being developed, and gather additional public input on the project. There will be no formal presentation. Citizens may come and go at their convenience. If you are unable to attend the meeting, but would like to learn more about the project or submit a question or comment, please visit our virtual open house, which has been live since Jan. 28, 2014 and will be available through Feb. 28, 2014. Written comments may also be mailed to: Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority All comments must be received no later than Friday, Feb. 28, 2014. People who plan to attend the open house and have special communication or accommodation needs are encouraged to call Melissa Hurst at (512) 996-9778 at least five business days prior to the event. Because the meeting will be conducted in English, any requests for language interpreters should also be made at least five business days prior to the event. TxDOT and the Mobility Authority will make every reasonable effort to accommodate these needs. |

Description: | TxDOT is working with the Mobility Authority and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), will host an open house for the 183 North Mobility Project. This new study will thoroughly analyze US 183 between SH 45 North and MoPac and determine the best alternatives for managing congestion as well as improving transit reliability and emergency response times. |
