The virtual public meeting will be posted to this webpage Thursday, May 7, by 2 p.m. and will remain available for viewing through the end of the comment period. It will consist of a pre-recorded video presentation including audio and visual components. The virtual option is not a live broadcast event and the public may view the presentation at their convenience.

If you do not have internet access, you may call 806-356-3200 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, to ask questions and access meeting materials.

A brief presentation will take place within the first half hour of each in-person public meeting, followed by the opportunity to ask questions of staff involved in the design process. You are invited to attend at your convenience and provide comments, concerns and ask questions regarding the planned improvements.

Purpose TxDOT’s Amarillo District is hosting a public meeting to share information regarding planned pedestrian and biking improvements along Business I-40 (Amarillo Boulevard) in Potter County.
Description  Planned work consists of pedestrian improvements along Business I-40 (Amarillo Boulevard) which include ADA compliant shared-use paths and signal improvements at Southwest Ninth Avenue, North Western Street and North McMasters Street.

The public meeting will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or translator because English is not your primary language or have difficulty communicating in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. If you need interpretation or translation services or are a person with a disability who requires accommodation to attend and participate in the public meeting, please contact the Amarillo District's public information officer at  806-356-3200 no later than 4 p.m. CT Monday, May 4, 2026. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.
