This section includes widening and improving Farm-to-Market Road (FM) 521 from FM 2234 to State Highway (SH) 6 in Fort Bend County.

Proposed Improvements

• Widen the FM 521 roadway from a two-lane undivided roadway to a four-lane divided roadway with a median and turn lanes
• Provide pedestrian and bicycle accommodations such as a sidewalk and shared use lane
• An overpass at Broadway is also being considered to further accommodate traffic volumes
