The proposed project is approximately 6 miles in length, passing through the City of Columbus and the unincorporated communities of Glidden and Alleyton in Colorado County, Texas. Approximately 84 acres of additional right of way is expected to be required to construct the proposed project. The proposed right-of-way width will vary but would have an average width of 400 feet.
The proposed project would, subject to final design considerations, require additional right of way and potentially displace four ancillary structures at one residence, and three non-residential structures. Relocation assistance is available for displaced persons and businesses. Information about the TxDOT Relocation Assistance Program and services and benefits for those displaced and other affected property owners, as well as information about the tentative schedule for right-of-way acquisition and construction, can be obtained from the TxDOT Yoakum District office at 361-293-4350.
The proposed project would involve construction in wetlands. The proposed project would involve an action in a floodplain.
