Open House - 3 - 7 p.m.

Purpose:

The purpose of this open house meeting is to share general project information on upcoming construction on I-35 in Waco between 12th Street and N. Loop 340. Construction is anticipated to start in spring 2019 and an additional meeting will be held prior to breaking ground to share more detailed plans. Team members will be available to visit with attendees and answer questions. All the right of way needed for this project has been purchased and utility relocations are underway.

Description:

The improvements to I-35 from 12th Street to N. Loop 340 include:

  • Widening the mainlanes to 4 lanes in each direction
  • Improving the frontage roads and ramps
  • Reconstructing bridges and improving interchanges
  • Adding U-turns
  • Improving bicycle and pedestrian access

Special Accommodations:

TxDOT makes every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of the public. The open house will be in English. Please be aware that advance notice is requested as some accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.

Memorandum of Understanding:

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
