Tyler, TX 75703 (Map)

When:

Thursday, March 7, 2019
5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Purpose:

TxDOT invites interested citizens to review alternative alignments for the proposed roadway improvements to FM 2964 (Rhones Quarter Road) in Smith County. The public is invited to ask questions and provide comments during this come-and-go open house-style meeting. There will not be a formal presentation, but project team members will be available to answer questions. Comments must be received by Friday, March 22, 2019, to be a part of the project’s official record.

Description:

The projects’ limits are from SH 110, south to FM 346 in Whitehouse. The proposed work includes widening the existing two-lane facility to four lanes with a continuous left-turn lane with bike and pedestrian facilities. The project will require new right of way from adjacent property owners.

Special Accommodation:

TxDOT makes every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of the public. The open house will be in English. If you have a special communication accommodation or need for an interpreter, a request can be made. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can also be made to accommodate most needs. Please call (903) 510-9100 at least two working days prior to the meeting. Please be aware that advance notice is requested as some accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.

The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and TxDOT.
