Purpose:

The purpose of the meeting is to provide an update and discuss the development of the Texas-Mexico Border Transportation Master Plan (BTMP) to include goals and objectives; overview and status of BTMP data collection, and discussion on corridor identification process, development of analysis areas, and designation and area profiles. The public will be able to provide input on the corridor identification process, development of analysis areas, and designation and area profiles.

Description:

This is the second series of workshops TxDOT has hosted throughout the border region to get input on multimodal transportation needs, issues, challenges, and potential opportunities and solutions for efficiently and safely moving people and goods across the border, in the border region, and beyond. The topics for this workshop include goals and objectives; overview and status of data collection; and a discussion on corridor identification and designation.

The intended audience for this workshop includes binational public and private sector stakeholders, brokers and logistics firms, cargo owners, and other trade transportation industry professionals.
