Open House - FM 1560 from FM 471 to SH 16

Purpose:
The purpose of this open house is to present proposed improvements to FM 1560 from FM 471 to SH 16 in the cities of San Antonio and Helotes, in Bexar County, Texas. There will be no formal presentation, so attendees can come and go at their convenience. Attendees will have the opportunity to view schematics of the proposed improvements, see a project video, visit with team members, ask questions, and share their comments on the project.
Description:
Proposed improvements include:
- Widening this section of FM 1560 from two to four lanes
- A continuous two-way left turn lane
- Raised medians at the approaches to FM 471 and Galm/Shaenfield
- Bike lanes, sidewalks, and drainage improvements.
Twenty-three acres of land will be acquired for this project and no displacements are anticipated

Memorandum of Understanding:
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
