Purpose:
The proposed project includes improvements to Farm-to-Market Road 2100 from Huffman-Cleveland Road (North) to Farm-to-Market Road 1960 in the unincorporated community of Huffman, located in northeastern Harris County, Texas. The purpose of the meeting is to gather public input and afford the public an opportunity to review and provide comments on the proposed project.
Description:
The existing FM 2100 consists of two 12-foot-wide travel lanes (one in each direction) and six-foot-wide outside shoulders. The existing right-of-way (ROW) is typically 150 feet in width, and there are no bicycle lanes or sidewalks.
The proposed improvements include:
Approximately 29 acres of new ROW would be required including land for detention ponds; however, no displacements are anticipated. Please note the comment period has been extended from Jan. 3, 2017, to Jan. 6, 2017.
The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
