Purpose:

TxDOT is seeking input for reconstruction and expansion of the SH 199 interchange extending from Azle Avenue to Biway Street in Tarrant County. Comments must be received on or before March 21, 2019, to be a part of the official record.

Description:

The purpose of the project is to increase safety and mobility. The study team is evaluating a number of alternatives:

  • General purpose lanes along SH 199
  • Direct connectors between SH 199 and I-820
  • Reconfigured access ramps along I-820
  • Improved sidewalks and bicycle/shared use lanes
  • Diverging Diamond along SH 199 at I-820
  • "No-Build" alternative

Memorandum of Understanding:

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
