Purpose:

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is designing improvements for SH 6 (Earl Rudder Freeway) from SH 21 to SH 40 (William D. Fitch Parkway).  An open house is scheduled for Monday, December 2, 2019, between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the Brazos Center, 3232 Briarcrest Drive in Bryan, TX. TxDOT staff will display the design drawings and be available to discuss the project.

Description:

Improvements include widening mainlanes from 4 to 6 lanes, adding auxiliary lanes and collector-distributor lanes for safer and more efficient merging, improving interchanges and bridges and adding shared use paths for bicycle and pedestrian use.
