Purpose:

TxDOT invites interested citizens to comment on proposed improvements to US 281 in Lampasas County, from Sulphur Creek to the Burnet County Line. Comments must be postmarked by Friday, July 5, 2019, to be included in the official meeting record.

Description:

The proposed US 281 improvements would include the reconfiguration of the US 190 (Plum Street) intersection and reconstruction of the roadway to include continuous center-turn lane, curb and gutter, illumination, sidewalks, and drainage improvements between Sulphur Creek and the Burnet County Line.

The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and TxDOT.
