Purpose:

The purpose of the open house is to discuss the proposed project to realign Bell Boulevard (US 183) between Cypress Creek Road to Cedar Park Drive in Williamson County. The meeting will be held in a come-and-go format, so the public may attend at their convenience. Staff will be available to answer questions.

The purpose of the Bell Boulevard Realignment Project is to improve public safety within the corridor in a manner consistent with the Destination Bell Boulevard Master Plan. The Bell Boulevard Realignment Project would return the current Bell Boulevard roadway east onto the full extent of Old Highway 183 from Cypress Creek Road to Cedar Park Drive in Cedar Park. Currently, Old Highway 183 is a two-lane roadway parallel to Bell Boulevard, running generally north and south. Bell Boulevard would be realigned and relocated to the Old Highway 183 alignment and reconstructed to a four-lane divided roadway that would include a raised median with turn lanes at intersections and driveways. The project would also include lighting, and pedestrian and bicycle accommodations. The project is 0.819 mile in length and would include grading, base, asphalt pavement, culverts, signing, and pavement markings. The project would extend from approximately 180 feet south of Cedar Park Drive to 700 feet south of the Bell Boulevard/Buttercup Creek Boulevard intersection. This project would require the acquisition of additional right of way.

All interested persons are invited to attend the open house. The open house will be in English, if you have a special communication accommodation or need for an interpreter, a request can be made. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can also be made to accommodate most needs. Please call 512-401-5356 at least one week prior to the open house to request assistance. Every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate these requests.

Verbal and/or written comments regarding the proposed project may be presented at the open house. In addition, written statements may be submitted for a period of 15 calendar days after the open house. Written comments may be submitted to the City of Cedar Park; c/o Emily Truman, P.E.; 450 Cypress Creek Road; Cedar Park, Texas 78613.
