Notice of Availability of Environmental Assessment (EA) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) Available for Public Review - US 87 from east of the US 385 Interchange to FM 2589 west of Dumas

Purpose:

This notice advises the public that a final environmental assessment (EA) is available for public review, and TxDOT has issued a finding of no significant impact (FONSI) for the proposed US 87 Expansion Project from east of the US 385 Interchange, near Hartley, to FM 2589 west of Dumas in Moore and Hartley counties, Texas.

Description:

The US 87 Expansion Project proposed improvements are from east of the US 385 Interchange to FM 2589 west of Dumas.

The 19-mile project include expanding from the current super-two configuration into a four-lane divided highway.

Memorandum of Understanding:

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 9, 2019, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and TxDOT.
