Texas Highways' February Issue Reveals More Readers' Choice Top 40 Texas Destinations

AUSTIN — In celebration of its 40th anniversary, Texas Highways magazine today announced another round of the Texas Top 40 favorite destinations as chosen by its readers.

Today’s announcement places Glen Rose at No. 35. Also revealed among the Top 40 were Amarillo (34), Marfa (33) and Dalhart (32).

The February issue, which is the magazine’s annual Big Bend edition, also features a Big Bend weekend getaway, artisans of the region and annual festivals. Additional coverage spotlights Marfa, Fort Davis, Big Bend National Park and the Texas Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Alpine. 

Rounding out the issue is coverage of Alsatian dining in Castroville, La King’s Confectionery in Galveston, El Monumento in Georgetown and the Stanzel Model Aircraft Museum in Schulenburg.
