Expansion of I-10 in Guadalupe County set to begin

IH 10 expansion widens I-10 between FM 464 and SH 130

Guadalupe County – Texas Department of Transportation’s contractor is set to begin a widening and safety improvement project on I-10, between FM 464 and SH 130. This project will also include resurfacing operations between SH 123 and SH 130, east of Seguin. The combined project will begin January 8, 2024.

The project awarded to Webber, LLC of New Braunfels will cost $245,194,039 and will consist of reconstructing the main lanes by expanding the existing four (4) lanes to six (6) lanes, improvements to entrance/exit ramps as well as rehabilitation of existing structures and one way frontage road conversion.

Signage, as well as digital message boards, will be placed in the area to notify the traveling public of the upcoming construction. Motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route and avoid the work zone, if possible. The estimated completion date is Fall 2029.
