Ramp repairs and closures set at US 271 and State Loop 286 in Paris

PARIS – Texas Department of Transportation officials today announced that a pavement repair project for the east- and westbound entrance and exit ramps at State Loop 286 and US 271 North in Paris, Texas, will begin on March 12, weather permitting.

The contractor, RK Hall, plans to begin work March 12 on the westbound entrance ramp on US 271 North and State Loop 286. Pavement repairs at each location should take about one day to complete, officials said.

Each ramp will be temporarily closed, and traffic will be shifted to a signed detour route while this work is underway, officials said.

Motorists who travel frequently in these areas are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic controls and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
