Bridge replacement set on CR 1495 in Rains County

Texas Department of Transportation officials today announced that a bridge replacement and upgrade project begins this week on CR 1495 at Woodbury Creek in Rains County.

The contractor, True Roads Construction, was granted 56 working days, weather permitting, to complete this project valued at more than 424,000. The target completion date for this project is June 2024, officials said.

The contractor will replace the bridge on CR 1495 at Woodbury Creek and rework/improve the approaches to this structure. The contractor anticipates starting construction on March 5.

CR 1495 will be closed at this location, and various lane closures may be necessary while this project is underway, officials said.

Motorists who travel frequently in these areas are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic controls and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
