Bridge replacement project on US 75 at Iron Ore Creek begins March 11

PARIS – Texas Department of Transportation officials today announced that a bridge replacement project on the US 75 northbound frontage road at Iron Ore Creek in Denison, Texas, is set to begin at 6:30 a.m. March 11.

This work will require the temporary closure of the US 75 northbound frontage road north of FM 691. After the old bridge is demolished work crews will begin construction of the new bridge at this site and then construct the northbound frontage road pavement.

Motorists traveling along this portion of the US 75 northbound frontage road will take the northbound entrance ramp north of FM 691 and take Exit 66 to access eastbound Spur 503. The target completion date of this work is August 2024, officials said.

Officials advised motorists to watch for road crews, expect some delays and plan their commutes in advance while this is underway. This construction and any necessary temporary lane closures it creates are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, officials said.

Motorists who frequently travel in this area are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic controls and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
