Huntington signal to activate June 9
Message boards placed this week to alert drivers
HUNTINGTON – Drivers should stay alert when approaching the intersection of US 69 and Farm-to-Market Road 1475 in Huntington as a newly installed signal will come online Tuesday, June 9.
Portable message boards about the upcoming activation were placed June 2.
The new signal will enhance safety at the intersection for motorists, as well as pedestrians, who now have striped crosswalks with audible alerts. Drivers should follow all traffic control and be prepared to stop. Exercise caution when approaching or moving through the intersection as driver habits adjust to the changes.
Once active, the signal is enforceable.
