FM 1585 intersection to be converted to all-way stop conditions
Changes coming to the FM 1585, Upland Avenue intersection
LUBBOCK COUNTY – On Tuesday, Sept. 22, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will convert the FM 1585 and Upland Avenue intersection to an all-way stop. Currently, Upland Avenue traffic is required to stop.
As part of this change, stop signs will be installed to require both east- and westbound traffic on FM 1585 to stop as well. “Stop ahead” warning signs will also be added to alert drivers to the new traffic configuration.
Message boards are in place advising drivers about the upcoming changes. Work will take place weather permitting.
