Bridge work continues on US 87 project
FM 41 to be closed to overnight traffic
LUBBOCK – Overnight construction work is scheduled for the US 87/FM 41 interchange next week. On Wednesday night (Oct. 21) FM 41, at US 87, will be closed to traffic from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. to allow crews to safely place the deck on the new bridge.
Both east-and westbound traffic will be detoured around the area. Additionally, the southbound US 87 inside lane will also be closed to traffic during the operation. FM 41 is expected to reopen by 7 a.m., Thursday morning (Oct. 22).
All work will take place weather permitting and is part of a safety project to build a new bridge at the U87, FM 41 intersection.
