Bridge beam operations scheduled for US 87 project
FM 41 to be closed to overnight traffic
LUBBOCK – Overnight construction work is scheduled for the US 87/FM 41 interchange next week. Starting Thursday night (Sept. 10) FM 41, at US 87, will be closed to overnight traffic from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. to allow crews to safely place the beams for the new bridge. The two-night operation will continue on Friday (Sept. 11) night.
Both east-and westbound traffic will be detoured around the area. Additionally, the southbound US 87 inside lane will also be closed to traffic during the operation. FM 41 will be open during the daytime.
All work will take place weather permitting and is part of a safety project to build a new bridge at the U87/FM 41 intersection.
