Phase I

Full Overnight Closures

Night, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Monday, March 2

• I-10 westbound between Artcraft and Westway/Vinton closed

Crews will be working on final striping for I-10 eastbound.

Tuesday, March 3

• Redd between North Desert and South Desert closed

Crews will be working on final striping for Redd Intersection.

Wednesday, March 4

• North Desert between Mesa and Redd closed
• Thorn Access to North Desert including all business entrances closed

Crews will be working on final striping for frontage road.

Thursday, March 5

• South Desert between Redd and Mesa closed
• Thorn Access to South Desert and limited business entrances closed

Crews will be working on final striping for frontage road.

Saturday, Feb. 28- Saturday, March 7

Daily, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (as needed)

7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (on Saturday’s as needed)

• North and South Desert between Vinton and Mesa alternate lane closures

Crews will be working on miscellaneous construction work.

Saturday, Feb. 28- Saturday, March 7

• I-10 east and westbound between Vinton and Mesa (daily) alternate lane closures

Crews will be sweeping, striping, power washing, and painting barriers on I-10.

• I-10 west and eastbound at Redd between North and South Desert

Crews will be removing/replacing concrete islands and painting Redd overpass bridge.

Continuous Closure Until further notice 24/7

• South Desert between Transmountain and Isela Rubalcava reduced to one lane
• Transmountain West to East turnaround closed

Detour: Traffic through intersection at Transmountain.

Crews will be working on new roadway reconfiguration for South Desert.

Phase II

Saturday, Feb. 28

6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• I-10 westbound at Redd/Thorn Exit (Bypasses to remain open)

Detour: Traffic will exit on Redd/Thorn exit, proceed on North Desert through bypass and enter on I-10 westbound before Redd.

Crews will be installing Halo Lights at Thorn.

Monday, March 2 - Saturday, March 7

Daily, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Nightly, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

• I-10 east and westbound between Anthony and Nashua alternate lane closures
• North and South Desert between Anthony and Nashua alternate lane closures

Crews will be working on concrete paving and paving trucks will be exiting the work area.

Monday, March 2 - Friday, March 6

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (as needed)

• Bypass lanes east and westbound between Mesa and Redd closed

Detour:

• Traffic will continue along South Desert, through the Thorn Intersection, and enter I-10 before Mesa.
• Traffic will continue along North Desert, through the Thorn Intersection, and enter I-10 before Redd.

Crews will be completing construction on an ornamental fence and landscape at Thorn.

Sunday, March 1 - Saturday, March 7

Continuous Closures

• Bridge C between Anthony and Vinton U-Turn Underpass closed

Detour: Traffic on North Desert proceeds to Anthony, TX and utilizes U-turn Bridge. Traffic on South Desert proceeds to Vinton, TX and utilizes U-turn Bridge.

Crews will be conducting bridge demolition and construction U-turns under I-10 at Bridge C.

• South Desert between Valley Chile and Vinton Steel left lane closed

Detour: Traffic will be kept in one lane, with access to entrance ramp at Valley Chile, then continue in one lane of traffic until past Bridge D (Vinton Steel).

Crews will be working on walls.
