I-10 widening west closures

Phase 2

Saturday, April 11 – Sunday, April 12 (24 Hour Closure)

3 a.m. - 3 a.m.

  • I-10 westbound at Vinton closed

Detour: Traffic will exit at Vinton, continue along North Desert through the Vinton and Anthony intersection, and enter I-10 westbound after Anthony.

Crews will be placing concrete on the roadway.

Saturday, April 25 – Monday, April 27 (48 Hour Closure)

3 a.m. – 3 a.m.

  • I-10 eastbound at Anthony, New Mexico full closure

Detour: Traffic will exit at East Ohara Road, turn left to Anthony Drive through Doniphan, turn left on Vinton Road, and proceed on South Desert and enter I-10 eastbound after Los Mochis.

Following closures as needed:

Monday, April 13 - Saturday, April 18

Daily, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Nightly, 9 p.m. - 6 a.m.

  • I-10 east and westbound between Anthony and Nashua alternate lane closures
  • North and South Desert between Anthony and Nashua alternate lane closures

Crews will be working on concrete paving and paving trucks will exit the work area, crossing from median to I-10.

Monday, April 13 - Saturday, April 18

9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

  • Bypass lanes between Mesa and Redd westbound closed

Detour: Traffic will continue along North Desert, through the Thorn Intersection, and enter I-10 before Redd.

  • Bypass lanes between Redd and Mesa eastbound closed

Detour: Traffic will continue along South Desert, through the Thorn Intersection, and enter I-10 before Mesa.

Crews will be completing construction on an ornamental fence and landscaping at Thorn.

Following closures are continuous, until further notice:

  • Bridge C between Anthony and Vinton U-Turn Underpass closed

Detour: Traffic on North Desert proceeds to Anthony, TX and utilizes U-turn Bridge. Traffic on South Desert proceeds to Vinton, TX and utilizes U-turn Bridge.

Crews will be conducting bridge demolition and construction U-turns under I-10 at Bridge C.

  • South Desert between Valley Chile and Vinton Steel left lane closed

Detour: Traffic will be in one lane, with access to entrance ramp at Valley Chile, then continue in one lane of traffic until past Bridge D (Vinton Steel).

Crews will be working on walls.

  • South Desert between Transmountain and Isela Rubalcava reduced to one lane

Crews will be working on new roadway reconfiguration for South Desert.
