I-10 widening west closures

Phase 1

Monday, May 11 – Saturday, May 16 (As Needed)

Daily, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Nightly, 9 p.m. – 6 a.m.

• I-10 east and westbound between Vinton and Resler alternate lane closures
• North and South Desert between Vinton and Resler alternate lane closures

Crews will be working on finishing touches.

Phase 2

Tuesday, May 12

9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

• North Desert at Los Mochis entrance ramp full closure

Detour: Traffic will exit at Los Mochis, proceed onto North Desert, through intersections at Vinton and Anthony, and enter westbound I-10 after Anthony.

Saturday, May 16 – Sunday, May 17 (33-HR Closure)

3 a.m. – 12 p.m.

• I-10 westbound between Los Mochis and Antonio full closure.

Detour: Traffic will exit at Los Mochis, proceed onto North Desert through the intersections at Vinton and Anthony, and enter I-10 westbound after Anthony.

Crews will be working on a westbound traffic switch. Once closure lifts, traffic will be on inside travel lanes and Exit 0 and Vinton entrance ramp will be closed westbound.

On-Going Continuous Closures

• Full U-turn underpass at Bridge C between Anthony and Vinton closed

Detour

• Traffic on North Desert will need to proceed to Anthony, TX and utilize U-turn Bridge
• Traffic on South Desert will need to proceed to Vinton, TX and utilize U-turn Bridge

Crews will be conducting Bridge Demolition and Bridge Construction on U-turns under I-10 at Bridge

• South Desert between Valley Chile and Vinton Steel left lane closed

Detour

• Traffic will be kept in one lane, with access to entrance ramp at Valley Chile, then continue in one lane of traffic until past Bridge D at Vinton Steel

Crews will be conducting work on Walls 13 & 14

• North and South Desert at the Los Mochis intersection left lane closed

Crews will be working on Los Mochis intersection.

• South Desert between Transmountain and Isela Rubalcalva right lane closed
• North Desert between Transmountain and Isela Rubalcalva left lane closed

Crews will be working on roadway reconfiguration for South Desert.

Closures As Needed

9 a.m. – 4 p.m. & 9 p.m. – 6 a.m.

• I-10 east and westbound between Anthony and Nashua alternate lane closures (No Detour Needed)
• North and South Desert between Anthony and Nashua alternate lane closures (No Detour Needed)

Crews will be conducting concrete paving, as well as paving trucks will be exiting the work area, crossing from median to I-10.

9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

• I-10 east and westbound Bypass lanes between Mesa and Redd full closure

Detour:

• Traffic will continue along South/North Desert, through Thorn intersection, and enter I-10 before Mesa.

Crews will be completing construction on ornamental fences and landscaping at Thorn.

• I-10 westbound exit Ramp 10 (Redd) full closure

Detour:

• Traffic to exit to Mesa Street, proceed on North Desert, through Mesa and Thorn intersections

Crews will be completing construction on ornamental fences and landscaping at Thorn.
