ATLANTA, Texas – Work to rehabilitate roadways and replace culverts near two tributaries of Eight Mile Creek in Harrison and Panola counties is scheduled to get underway soon.

Work will take place on Farm to Market Road (FM) 1998 in Harrison County and on FM 699 in Panola County. “Crews will also replace metal beam guard fence and pavement markings in those areas,” said Marshall Area Engineer Jacob Vise.

C & W Southern LLC was awarded the project with a low bid of $492,767. Work is expected to begin in June and take about two months to complete. The estimated completion date is subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
