Resurfacing Set for Portion of US 59 in Cass County

A portion of US 59 north in Cass County is scheduled to be resurfaced soon, according to plans awarded in January by the Texas Department of Transportation.

The project will take place north of Queen City. “Work will take place in the southbound lanes starting near FM 3129 and extending to State Loop 236, an area covering over six miles,” said Texarkana Area Engineer Tommy Bruce. 

RK Hall, LLC of Paris was awarded the contract with a bid of $9,155,619. 

Weather permitting, work should begin in March 2024 and take about five months to complete.
