Overview

Segment B-1 is an environmentally-cleared, not-yet-constructed four lane toll road extending ~14 miles from FM 646 in League City (Galveston County) to south of FM 2403 in Alvin (Brazoria County). In addition to the SH 99 tollway with two mainlanes in each direction, Phase I of the project includes discontinuous two-lane frontage roads between SH 35 and I-45, grade-separated interchanges, two new direct connectors at SH 35, and nearly 6 miles of non-tolled operational improvements along SH 35 from south of 2403 to Steele Road.

Phase II includes constructing four direct connectors at the I-45 interchange. These improvements are being delivered under a separate contract, which is anticipated to let in 2028.
