Typical closure times are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for weekday closures and 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for weeknight closures. Lane closures are allowed all day Saturday, and Sunday (as needed).

I-820 Closures

I-820 Southbound Mainlanes

  • Effective, Feb 26, 2024: The southbound I-820 alignment is now a left-hand exit prior to SH 10. WATCH FOR NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN.

I-820 Northbound Mainlanes

  • Effective, May 21, 2024: I-820 northbound mainlanes are moved into a long-term detour pattern onto the northbound frontage road bridge crossing the Trinity Railway Express and returning to the mainlane alignment before the SH 10 underpass. This detour is required for the replacement of the I-820 northbound bridge over the Trinity Railway Express.

I-820 Southbound Entrance from SH 10/SH 183

  • Effective Aug 18, 2024: The I-820 southbound entrance from SH 10/SH 183 was placed into service.

I-820 Northbound Exit to SH 10

  • Effective, Dec 4, 2023: The I-820 northbound exit to SH 10 was moved south of the Trinity Rail Express overpass near Trinity Blvd.

I-820 Southbound Exit to Trinity Blvd

  • Daily, Feb 15-Mar 22, 9a-3p: The I-820 southbound exit to Trinity Blvd will be closed for general construciton. Traffic will be detoured to the next exit to Randol Mill Rd, cross over I-820, and return on the I-820 northbound mainlanes exiting Trinity Blvd. 
  • Nightly, Feb 24-Mar 18, 9p-6a: The I-820 southbound exit to Trinity Blvd will be closed for safety device installation. Traffic will be detoured to the next exit to Randol Mill Rd, cross over I-820, and return on the I-820 northbound mainlanes exiting Trinity Blvd. 

I-820 Northbound Exit to SH 121 Southbound

  • Effective, October 18, 2024: The I-820 northbound to SH 121 southbound direct connector was placed into service.

I-820 Northbound Entrance from Randol Mill Rd

  • Daily, Mar 19-25, 9a-3p: The I-820 northbound entrance ramp from Randol Mill Rd will be closed for seeding operations. Traffic will be detoured to entrance from John T White Blvd. 

I-820 Northbound Exit to Randol Mill Rd

  • Daily, Feb 18-Mar 25, 9a-3p: The I-820 northbound exit ramp to Randol Mill Rd will be closed for pavement striping and seeding operations. Traffic will be detoured to exit to John T White Blvd and continue on the frontage road to Randol Mill Rd. 

I-820 Southbound Entrance from Randol Mill Rd

  • Daily, Feb 18-Mar 22, 9a-3p: The I-820 southbound entrance ramp from Randol Mill Rd will be closed for pavement striping operations. Traffic will be detoured to the next extrance ramp south of John T White Blvd.

I-820 Southbound Exit to Randol Mill Rd

  • Daily, Feb 18-Mar 22, 9a-3p: The I-820 southbound exit ramp to Randol Mill Rd will be closed for pavement striping operations. Traffic will be detoured to exit to John T White Blvd, cross I-820, and return on th eI-820 northbound frontage road to Randol Mill Rd.

I-820 Southbound Frontage Road

  • Glenview Dr/Pipeline Rd to SH 10
    • Daily, Feb 4-Mar 22, 9a-3p: The I-820 southbound frontage road will be reduced to one lane between Glenview Dr/Pipeline Rd and SH 10 for seeding and general construction. 
  • Encino Dr to Booth Callloway Rd
    • Effective July 6, 2023: The I-820 southbound frontage road no longer intersects with Booth Calloway Rd. The frontage road now follows a new alignment that intersects SH 10 between I-820 and the signalized intersection with Booth Calloway Rd.
  • Over SH 121/Trinity Rail Express
    • Effective Nov 12, 2021: The I-820 southbound frontage road over SH 121/Trinity Rail Express is closed for reconstruction. Traffic is detoured south to Handley-Ederville Rd, then south to Trinity Blvd, and east to return to I-820.

I-820 Northbound Frontage Road

  • Trinity Blvd to SH 10
    • Effective Nov 8, 2023: A new I-820 northbound frontage road connection was opened between Trinity Blvd and SH 10.

SH 121 closures

SH 121 Southbound Mainlanes

  • Daily, Feb 4-Mar 22, 9a-3p: One lane will be closed on SH 121 southbound mainlanes between SH 10 and Handley-Ederville Rd for seeding and general construction. 
  • Effective, Feb 26, 2024: The southbound SH 121 alignment is a a right-hand exit prior to SH 10. WATCH FOR NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN.

SH 121 Northbound Mainlanes

  • Daily, Feb 4-Mar 22, 9a-3p: One lane will be closed on SH 121 northbound mainlanes between Handley-Ederville Rd and SH 10 for seeding and general construction. 
  • Effective, Jun 22, 2024: The SH 121 northbound mainlanes are in the new, permanent alignment between Handley-Ederville Rd and SH 10. WATCH FOR NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN.

SH 121 Northbound Exit to I-820 Southbound

  • Effective July 17, 2021: The new direct connector ramp between the highways is open. The exit for this new ramp is west of Handley-Ederville Rd. WATCH FOR NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN.

SH 121 Southbound Entrance from SH 10

  • Effective, Feb 26, 2024: The SH 121 southbound entrance ramp from SH 10 was returned to service.

SH 121 Northbound Exit to SH 10

  • Mar 21, 9a-3p: The SH 121 northbound exit to SH 10 will be closed for bridge construction. Traffic will be directed to exit Glenview Dr/Pipeline Dr, cross under I-820, and return on the I-820 southbound frontage road to SH 10. 
  • Effective, Oct 13, 2024: The new SH 121 northbound exit to SH 10 was placed into service.

SH 121 Southbound Exit to Handley-Ederville Rd

  • Daily, Jan 6-Mar 22, 9a-3p: The SH 121 southbound exit to Handley-Ederville Rd will be closed for removal operations. Traffic will be directed to exit to Minnis Dr, cross under SH 121, and return on the SH 121 northbound mainlanes to exit Handley-Ederville Rd. 
  • Nightly, Feb 19-Mar 22, 9p-6a: The SH 121 southbound exit to Handley-Ederville Rd will be closed for seeding operations and general construction. Traffic will be directed to exit to Minnis Dr, cross under SH 121, and return on the SH 121 northbound mainlanes to exit Handley-Ederville Rd. 

SH 121 Southbound Frontage Road

  • Daily, Jan 6-Mar 22, 9a-3p: Various lanes of the SH 121 southbound frontage road from SH 10 to the SH 121 southbound entrance ramp will be closed for general construction.
  • Effective Mar 3, 2021: The SH 10 eastbound ramp to SH 121 southbound frontage road will not provide access to I-820 southbound. Traffic is detoured north on the I-820 northbound frontage road, crossing under I-820 at Glenview Dr/Pipeline Rd, and entering I-820 southbound from the entrance ramp.

SH 121 Northbound Frontage Road

  • Daily, Jan 6-Mar 22, 9a-3p: The SH 121 northbound frontage road between Handley-Ederville Rd and SH 10 will be closed for bridge and general construction. Traffic will be detoured north on Handley-Ederville Rd and east on SH 183/Baker Blvd.
  • Mar 21, 5a-9a: The SH 121 northbound frontage road will be reduced to one lane between Handley-Ederville Rd and SH 10 for bridge construction. 

SH 10/Hurst Blvd Closures

SH 10 Eastbound

  • Daily, Feb 18-Mar 22, 9a-3p: Various lanes closed on eastbound SH 10 between Booth Calloway Rd and Arcadia St for pavement striping operations. 
  • Effective July 6, 2023: SH 10 eastbound crossing I-820 was returned to normal service. 

SH 10 Westbound

  • Daily, Feb 18-Mar 22, 9a-3p: Various lanes closed on westbound SH 10 between Arcadis St and Booth Calloway Rd for pavement striping operations. 
  • Effective July 6, 2023: SH 10 westbound crossing I-820 was returned to service. 

SH 10 Westbound Exit to I-820/SH 121 Southbound

  • PERMANENTLY, Nov 11, 2021: The SH 10 westbound exit to I-820/SH 121 southbound is permanently closed for construction of the I-820 southbound frontage road extension to SH 10. Traffic will now use the new entrance ramp available from south of SH 10.

SH10 Eastbound Exit to SH 121 Southbound

  • Effective Mar 3, 2021: The SH 10 eastbound ramp to SH 121 southbound frontage road will not provide access to I-820 southbound. Traffic is detoured north on the I-820 northbound frontage road, crossing under I-820 at Glenview Dr/Pipeline Rd, and entering I-820 southbound from the entrance ramp.

Trinity Blvd

  • None at this time.

Randol Mill Rd

  • Daily, Mar 19-25, 9a-3p: The right lane of westbound Randol Mill Rd will be closed between the I-820 frontage roads for seeding operations.
