Road closures

Closures are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Overnight closures

The northbound I-35E frontage road between Dickerson Parkway and President George Bush Turnpike will be closed overnight from 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 7 until 6 a.m. Wednesday, May 8.

Traffic on the northbound I-35E frontage road will turn right on West. Trinity Mills Rd. and continue along West. Trinity Mills Rd. and U-turn at Dickerson Pkwy., then continue along West. Trinity Mills Road. and turn right onto the northbound I-35E frontage road.

The northbound I-35E frontage road between the Valwood Parkway entrance ramp and Crosby Road will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. Friday, May 10 until 6 a.m. Saturday, May 11.

Traffic on the northbound I-35E frontage road will take the Valwood Pkwy. entrance ramp and then take the Belt Line Rd. exit and U-turn at Belt Line Rd. and continue along the southbound I-35E frontage road to access Crosby Rd.

Southbound I-35E between Valwood Parkway and I-635 will be reduced to one lane overnight from 8 p.m. Friday, May 10 until 7 a.m. Saturday, May 11.

Nightly closures

The southbound Valwood Parkway exit ramp will be closed from 8 p.m. Thursday, May 2 to 6 a.m. Friday, May 3 and continue nightly until Thursday, May 9.

All lanes at Valwood Parkway under I-35E will be closed from 9 p.m. Thursday, May 2 to 6 a.m. Friday, May 3 and continue nightly until Thursday, May 9.

The southbound Valwood Pkwy. exit ramp and Valwood Pkwy. under I-35E will be closed nightly.
Traffic on southbound I-35E will take the Valley View Ln. exit ramp, turn right at Valley View Ln., then turn right at Senlac Dr. to access Valwood Pkwy.
Westbound traffic will turn right at the northbound I-35E frontage road, then U-turn at Crosby Rd. to the southbound I-35E frontage road to access Valwood Pkwy.
Eastbound traffic will turn right at the southbound I-35E frontage road, then U-turn at Valley View Ln. to the northbound I-35E frontage road to access Valwood Pkwy.

West Trinity Mills Road at the northbound I-35E frontage road will be closed from 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 1 to 6 a.m. Thursday, May 2 and continue nightly until Saturday, May 4.

Northbound traffic will take a slight left on the Dickerson Pkwy. entrance ramp, then take a right on Dickerson Pkwy. to access W Trinity Mills Rd.

All lanes at Main Street under I-35E will be closed from 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 30 to 6 a.m. Wednesday, May 1 and continue nightly until Tuesday, May 7.

Eastbound traffic will continue along Upfield Dr., and turn right onto Crosby Rd., and turn right onto Hutton Dr., and turn right onto Belt Line Rd., then turn right onto Broadway St. to access Main St.
Westbound traffic will turn left onto Broadway St., then turn left onto 4th Ave., then turn left onto Belt Line Rd., then turn left onto Hutton Dr., and turn left onto Crosby Rd., and then turn left onto Upfield Dr. to access Main St.

The northbound I-35E frontage road between the Dickerson Parkway entrance ramp and West Trinity Mills Road will be closed from 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 8 to 6 a.m. Thursday, May 9 and continue nightly until Saturday, May 11.

Northbound traffic will keep left to Dickerson Pkwy. and then continue along the northbound I-35E frontage road to access I-35E.
Eastbound traffic will continue along Dickerson Pkwy. to access Trinity Mills Rd.

Nighttime closures

Short-term closures

The Dickerson Parkway exit ramp to the southbound I-35E frontage road will be temporarily closed beginning Saturday, May 18.

The Dickerson Parkway entrance ramp from the southbound I-35E frontage road will be temporarily closed beginning Friday, April 12.

The Dickerson Pkwy. entrance ramp from the Southbound I-35E frontage road will be temporarily closed.

Long-term closures

The northbound I-35E Harry Hines Boulevard entrance ramp will be closed beginning Sunday, June 4.

Northbound traffic will continue I-35E frontage road and take the northbound entrance ramp at Valley View Ln. to access I-35E.

Permanent closures

The southbound Sandy Lake Road exit ramp will be permanently closed beginning Saturday, May 18.

Southbound Sandy Lake Rd. exit ramp will be closed permanently beginning on Saturday, May 18.
Traffic on southbound I-35E will take the Frankford Rd./Dickerson Pkwy. exit ramp and continue along the southbound I-35E frontage road to access Sandy Lake Rd.

The southbound I-35E Crosby Road entrance ramp will be permanently closed beginning Monday, December 18. Detour information is available here.

The Trinity Mills Road turn around at I-35E will be permanently closed beginning 8 p.m. Thursday, March 2.

Traffic traveling westbound on Trinity Mills Rd. will take the left hand turn around at Dickerson Pkwy. to access eastbound Trinity Mills Rd.

The northbound Crosby Road exit ramp at I-35E will be permanently closed beginning 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25.
