Current activity
Lane closures
Week of January 26
Permanent Ramp Closure January 29
Beginning Thursday, Jan. 29, the northbound entrance ramp south of Rock Prairie Road will be permanently closing. Drivers will need to use the next entrance ramp to enter SH 6.
Abatement schedule
- The north and southbound mainlanes will be closed at the University Drive bridge from 7:30 p.m. each evening until 6:30 a.m. the following morning on the following dates:
- Thursday, January 22
- Tuesday, January 27
- Wednesday, January 28
- Thursday, January 29
- Friday, January 30
Looking ahead
Here's what can be expected in the next six months:
- Two main lanes in each direction will be maintained throughout construction
- Majority of the work will be on the main lanes
- Construction of temporary pavement and retaining walls
