Current activity
Lane closures
Sunday, March 29
- Northbound frontage road from Woodcreek Drive to Sebesta Road – 7:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.
- Northbound frontage road left lane single-lane closure.
- Northbound Texas Avenue exit ramp closure – 7:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.
- The northbound Texas Avenue exit ramp will be closed to install traffic barrier.
Monday, March 30
- Northbound and southbound frontage road closure – Single-Lane – 7:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.
- Step 1: the northbound frontage road left lane will be closed from Austins Colony Parkway to William J. Bryan Parkway. The northbound entrance ramp will remain open during the left lane closure.
- Step 2: the southbound frontage road left lane will be closed from William J. Bryan Parkway to Par Drive. Additionally, the westbound William J. Bryan Parkway “left turn lane” will also be closed.
Tuesday, March 31 – Full Closure
- Northbound mainlane from Rock Prairie Road to Southwest Parkway – Full Closure – 8:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.
- All northbound traffic must exit the mainlanes through the Rock Prairie Road exit ramp and may re-enter the mainlanes just north of Southwest Parkway. Additionally, the northbound entrance ramps south of Barron Road and south of Southwest Parkway will be closed.
Looking ahead
Here's what can be expected in the next six months:
- Two main lanes in each direction will be maintained throughout construction
- Majority of the work will be on the main lanes
- Construction of temporary pavement and retaining walls
