Typical closure times are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for weekday closures and 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for weeknight closures. Lane closures are allowed all day Saturday, and Sunday (as needed).
Please note closures are subject to changes due to weather and schedule.
Project 1: I-20 Closures
I-20 Mainlanes
- Daily: right and left shoulder closures throughout the project area from Markum Ranch Road to the I-20/I-30 split.
- Upcoming: overnight eastbound and westbound I-20 closures between Markum Ranch Rd. and the I-20/I-30 split from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly for installation of bridge beams at Bentley Road on Tuesday, September 2nd and Wednesday, September 3rd. EXPECT DELAYS (Link to detour map posted by Friday, August 22nd).
Project 2: I-20/I-30 Closures
I-20 Mainlanes
- Ongoing: westbound right lane of I-20 closed approaching the Walsh Ranch Parkway entrance ramp (one lane remains open for traffic to continue onto I-20 or exit to FM 1187/FM 3325). This closure is expected to last until October 2025. EXPECT DELAYS.
- Daily: alternating eastbound and westbound left lane of I-20 closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between FM 1187/FM 3325 and I-20/I-30 split for barrier installation in the median from Monday, August 18th to Friday, August 22nd. EXPECT DELAYS.
I-30 Mainlanes
- Daily: alternating eastbound and westbound left lane of I-30 closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Walsh Ranch Parkway and I-20/I-30 split for barrier installation in the median from Monday, August 18th to Friday, August 22nd. EXPECT DELAYS.
I-20 Frontage Roads
- Ongoing: eastbound frontage road between FM 1187/FM 3325 entrance ramp to just west of Walsh Ranch Parkway exit ramp reduced to one travel lane (July 2025 through Fall 2025). EXPECT DELAYS.
- Ongoing: westbound frontage road between Walsh Ranch Parkway entrance ramp to I-20 and I-20 exit ramp to FM 1187/FM 3325 closed (March 2025 through Fall 2025). Motorists will be forced to enter westbound I-20 using the entrance ramp from Walsh Ranch Parkway and then can continue to westbound I-20 or exit to FM 1187/FM 3325 to rejoin the westbound frontage road. EXPECT DELAYS.
I-30 Frontage Roads
- No scheduled closures.
Project 3: I-30 Closures
I-30 Mainlanes
- Daily: eastbound and westbound various lane and various ramp closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Linkcrest Drive and I-820 for construction activities and traffic pattern switch from Friday, August 15h to Saturday, August 23rd. During ramp closures, motorists should follow detour signs and EXPECT DELAYS.
I-30 Frontage Roads
- Ongoing: westbound frontage road between Alemeda Street and Old Weatherford Road reduced to one travel lane (January 2025 through Summer 2025). The frontage road will be closed between Alemeda Street and RM 2871/Longvue Avenue starting on Wednesday, August 20th through Saturday, August 23rd at 3 p.m. for drainage activities. Motorists should follow detour signs during this full closure. EXPECT DELAYS.
Spur 580/W. Camp Bowie Boulevard
- Daily: the westbound Spur 580/W. Camp Bowie Boulevard entrance ramp to I-30 will be periodically closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. periodically to complete striping, barrier movement and pavement installation for the upcoming traffic pattern switch from Saturday, August 16th to Saturday, August 23rd. EXPECT DELAYS.
- Daily: the eastbound Spur 580/W. Camp Bowie Boulevard entrance ramp to I-30 will be periodically closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. periodically to complete striping, barrier movement and pavement installation for the upcoming traffic pattern switch from Saturday, August 16th to Saturday, August 23rd. EXPECT DELAYS.
I-820 West Loop Mainlanes
- Ongoing: southbound right lane between Westpoint Boulevard and the eastbound and westbound exits to I-30 closed for roadway construction (January 2025 through Summer 2025). EXPECT DELAYS.
I-820 West Loop Frontage Roads
- Ongoing: southbound frontage road right lane closed between Westpoint Drive and Alemeda Street for roadway construction (January 2025 through Summer 2025).
