Typical closure times are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for weekday closures and 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for weeknight closures. Lane closures are allowed all day Saturday, and Sunday (as needed).

Please note closures are subject to changes due to weather and schedule.

Project 1: I-20 Closures

I-20 Mainlanes

  • Daily: right and left shoulder closures throughout the project area from Markum Ranch Road to the I-20/I-30 split.
  • Daily: westbound left lane closure of I-20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Bentley Road Bridge and Walsh Ranch Bridge on Wednesday, January 28th for removal of portable concrete barriers in the median. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Daily: eastbound left lane closure of I-20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Walsh Ranch Bridge and Bentley Road Bridge on Thursday, January 29th and Friday, January 30th for cable rail removal in the median. EXPECT DELAYS.

Project 2: I-20/I-30 Closures

I-20 Mainlanes

  • Daily: alternating single lane closures of eastbound and westbound I-20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between the I-20/I-30 split and FM 1187 on Monday, January 26th through Friday, January 30th to perform barrier moving operations. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Ongoing: eastbound and westbound I-20 will be reduced to two travel lanes between the I-20/I-30 split and FM 1187.

I-30 Mainlanes

  • Daily: alternating single lane closures of eastbound and westbound I-30 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between the I-20/I-30 split and Linkcrest Drive on Monday, January 26th through Friday, January 30th to perform barrier moving operations. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Ongoing: eastbound and westbound I-30 will be reduced to two travel lanes between Linkcrest Drive and the I-20/I-30 split.

I-20 Frontage Roads

  • Ongoing: eastbound frontage road between FM 1187/FM 3325 entrance ramp to just west of Walsh Ranch Parkway exit ramp reduced to one travel lane. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Ongoing: westbound frontage road between Walsh Ranch Parkway entrance ramp to I-30 and I-20 exit ramp to FM 1187/FM 3325 closed. Motorists will be forced to enter westbound I-20 using the entrance ramp from Walsh Ranch Parkway and then can continue to westbound I-20 or exit to FM 1187/FM 3325 to rejoin the westbound frontage road. This section of frontage road is scheduled to be opened to traffic in February 2026. EXPECT DELAYS.

I-30 Frontage Roads

  • Ongoing: westbound frontage road between Walsh Ranch Parkway entrance ramp to I-30 and I-20 exit ramp to FM 1187/FM 3325 closed. Motorists will be forced to enter westbound I-20 using the entrance ramp from Walsh Ranch Parkway and then can continue to westbound I-20 or exit to FM 1187/FM 3325 to rejoin the westbound frontage road. This section of frontage road is scheduled to be opened to traffic in February 2026. EXPECT DELAYS.

Project 3: I-30 Closures

I-30 Mainlanes

  • Ongoing: eastbound and westbound I-30 are reduced to two travel lanes from Linkcrest Drive to Spur 580 exit. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Ongoing: the existing westbound exit ramp to Linkcrest Drive was closed in August 2025. Motorists will now use the Spur 580/Camp Bowie Boulevard exit (Exit 2) and continue onto the westbound frontage road to access Linkcrest Drive.
  • Ongoing: the Linkcrest Drive entrance ramp to eastbound I-30 was closed in August 2025. Motorists should follow detour signs and enter eastbound I-30 from Spur 580/W. Camp Bowie Boulevard. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Ongoing: the frontage roads between Linkcrest Drive and east of Spur 580/W. Camp Bowie Boulevard are permanently converted from two-way to one-way operation (see I-30 frontage road conversion graphic) and reduced to one travel lane. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Daily: various eastbound and westbound left lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Alemeda Street and Linkcrest Drive from Friday, January 23rd to Saturday, January 31st for trucking access. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Daily: the eastbound exit ramp to Alemeda Street will periodically be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Friday, January 23rd to Saturday, January 31st for culvert and drainage installation. Motorists should exit to Chapel Creek Boulevard and continue on the eastbound frontage road to access Alemeda Street. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Overnight: eastbound I-30 will be closed at the Linkcrest Drive exit from 7 p.m. on Saturday, January 31st to 5 a.m. on Sunday, February 1st for removal of multiple overhead sign structures. Motorists will be detoured to the eastbound I-30 frontage road at the Linkcrest Drive exit and should follow detour signs to reenter eastbound I-30 using the Spur 580 entrance ramp. I-30 thru traffic is encouraged to use eastbound I-20 to northbound I-820 West Loop as an alternate route during this overnight closure. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Upcoming: eastbound and westbound full closure of I-30 from I-820 West Loop to Spur 580 from 9 p.m. on Friday, February 6th to 5 a.m. on Monday, February 9th for demolition of the existing RM 2871/Longvue Avenue bridge over I-30. Eastbound and westbound through traffic on I-30 will be encouraged to use I-20 as their alternate route. Eastbound and westbound I-30 local traffic will be able to utilize the frontage roads during this closure. A detour map will be posted when available. Motorists should EXPECT DELAYS during this weekend closure of I-30.

I-30 Frontage Roads

  • Ongoing: westbound I-30 frontage road between Alemeda Street and Old Weatherford Road reduced to one travel lane. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Ongoing: eastbound I-30 frontage road between Alemeda exit ramp and Alemeda Street reduced to one travel lane. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Ongoing: the I-30 frontage roads between Linkcrest Drive and east of Spur 580/W. Camp Bowie Boulevard are permanently converted to one-way operation.
  • Daily: the two-way crossover at Mary’s Creek will be periodically closed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. from Friday, January 23rd to Saturday, January 31st for bridge construction activities. Motorists should follow detour signs to Chapel Creek Boulevard to access westbound I-30. EXPECT DELAYS.

Spur 580/W. Camp Bowie Boulevard

  • Daily: the two-way crossover at Mary’s Creek will be periodically closed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. from Friday, January 23rd to Saturday, January 31st for bridge construction activities. Motorists should follow detour signs to Chapel Creek Boulevard to access westbound I-30. EXPECT DELAYS.

Alemeda Street

  • No scheduled closures.

I-820 West Loop Mainlanes

  • Ongoing: southbound right lane between Westpoint Boulevard and the eastbound and westbound exits to I-30 closed for roadway construction. EXPECT DELAYS.

I-820 West Loop Frontage Roads

  • Ongoing: the southbound frontage road is reduced to one lane between Westpoint Drive and Alemeda Street for bridge construction activities. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Daily: the southbound frontage road will be periodically closed between Westpoint Drive and Alemeda Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Friday, January 23rd to Saturday, January 31st for bridge construction activities. Motorists should follow detour signs and EXPECT DELAYS.
