Typical closure times are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for weekday closures and 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for weeknight closures. Lane closures are allowed all day Saturday, and Sunday (as needed).

Please note closures are subject to changes due to weather and schedule.

Closures

I-20 Closures

Mainlanes

  • Ongoing: eastbound and westbound I-20 reduced to two travel lanes between the I-20/I-30 split and FM 1187/FM 3325.
  • Effective, Mar 18: The I-20 westbound exit to FM1187/FM3325 (Exit 420 nearest FM1187/FM3325) was permanently closed for construction of a new westbound entrance ramp in this area. I-20 westbound traffic is directed to use the new permanent exit (Exit 420) located in I-30 interchange area (map).
  • Effective, Mar 19: The I-20 eastbound entrance from FM1187/FM3325 switched to the new permanent entrance ramp further east from the frontage road (map).

Frontage Roads

  • ## Daily, Jul 13-17, 9a-3p: The westbound I-20 frontage road intersection with FM 3325 will be under full STOP control for traffic signal construction crews. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • ## Nightly, Jul 12-15, 7p-6a: Westbound and eastbound I-20 frontage road will have left lane closures between FM 1187/FM 3325 and Walsh Ranch Parkway for short distances to protect paving operations.
  • ## Daily, Jul 13-17, 9a-3p: Westbound and eastbound I-20 frontage road will have left lane closures between FM 1187/FM 3325 and Walsh Ranch Parkway for short distances to protect paving operations.
  • Effective, Jul 2: Traffic will switch into the final construction phase at eastbound I-20 frontage road intersection with FM 1187. The free right turn will be removed from service and traffic will move onto the newly constructed frontage road lane for the reconstruction of the south half of the eastbound I-20 frontage road leaving FM 1187 (map).
  • Effective, Mar 24: The I-20 westbound frontage road approach to FM 1187/FM 3325 is reduced to two lanes (shared left turn and through, and right turn only) for first phase of construction of new westbound frontage road pavement approaching FM 1187/FM 3325.
  • Effective, Mar 19: The I-20 eastbound frontage road traffic switched onto new pavement east of FM1187/FM3325. Sections of the eastbound are reduced to one lane for construction between FM 1187 and Walsh Ranch Pkwy.

I-30 Closures

Mainlanes

  • Daily, Jul 6-11, 9a-3p: Eastbound and westbound I-30 mainlanes reduced to one lane between Linkcrest Drive and Alemeda Drive for general construction. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Ongoing: Eastbound I-30 right lane closure from Linkcrest Drive to Spur 580 exit for ramp construction. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Permanent, Effective Aug 2025: The westbound I-30 exit to Linkcrest Drive was closed. Motorists now use the Spur 580/Linkcrest Drive exit to the I-20 westbound frontage road to access Linkcrest Drive. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Permanent, Effective Sep 2025: The eastbound I-30 entrance from Linkcrest Drive was closed. Motorists should follow detour signs and enter eastbound I-30 from Spur 580/W. Camp Bowie Boulevard. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Ongoing, Effective Mar. 6, 2026: The eastbound I-30 exit to Walsh Ranch Parkway is closed until early 2027. During this closure, I-30 eastbound motorists will be directed to exit to FM 1187/FM 3325 (Exit 420) and continue on the eastbound frontage road to access Walsh Ranch Parkway. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Effective, Mar 18: I-20 westbound exit to FM1187/FM3325 (Exit 420 nearest FM1187/FM3325) was permanently closed for construction of a new westbound entrance ramp in this area. I-30 westbound traffic is directed to use Walsh Ranch Pkwy exit until the new permanent exit ramp being constructed immediately west of Walsh Ranch Pkwy is completed (map).
  • Effective, Mar 19: The I-30 eastbound entrance from FM1187/FM3325 was removed service to construct a new permanent exit ramp in its current location. I-30 traffic will be detoured on the eastbound frontage road to enter I-30 from the Walsh Ranch Pkwy entrance. The permanent I-30 entrance ramp is under construction immediately west of Walsh Ranch Pkwy (map).

Frontage Roads

  • Daily, Jul 6-11, 9a-3p: I-30 westbound frontage road reduced to one lane between Alemeda St and Chapel Creek Blvd for general construction.
  • Daily, Jul 6-11, 9a-3p: Westbound and eastbound I-30 frontage road single lane closures between Horseshoe Trail West and Mary’s Creek for pavement striping operations.
  • ## Daily, Jul 13-18, 9a-3p: I-30 westbound frontage road reduced to one lane between Alemeda St and Chapel Creek Blvd for general construction.
  • ## Daily, Jul 14-18, 9a-3p: The eastbound I-30 frontage road will have closures in the I-30/SP 580 area to re-stripe for new traffic operations.
  • ## Nightly, Jul 13-17, 7p-4a: The westbound I-30 frontage road between the westbound entrance ramp west of Mary’s Creek to westbound exit for Walsh Ranch Parkway will be closed for storm drain construction.
  • Effective, Jul 14: The two-way movement on the eastbound I-30 frontage road between Horseshoe Trail West and Mary’s Creek will be permanently changed to eastbound movement only. The short connection between eastbound and westbound SP 580 movements will be removed from service. These operational changes are required to construct the new SP 580 interchange with I-30. (map)
  • Effective, Jul 14: The westbound I-30 frontage road movement crossing under I-30 at Mary’s Creek will be removed from service. This operational change is required to construct the new SP 580 interchange with I-30.
  • Effective, Jun 12: The eastbound I-30 frontage road between Lost Creek Blvd and Verdi Vista Dr was switched onto new pavement to allow for construction of permanent, inside frontage road lane.
  • Ongoing: The westbound I-30 frontage road between Alemeda Street and Old Weatherford Road is reduced to one travel lane for roadway construction. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Ongoing: The eastbound I-30 frontage road between RM 2871/Longvue Avenue and Alemeda Street exit ramp is reduced to one lane for drainage, structures, and roadway construction. EXPECT DELAYS.

Local Streets

RR 2871/Longvue Avenue

  • Ongoing, Effective Feb 5, 2026: The RM 2871/Longvue Avenue bridge over I-30 is closed for reconstruction until Aug. 2026. Motorists will be detoured to either Chapel Creek Boulevard or Alemeda Street to get across I-30 during this closure.

Old Weatherford Road

  • No scheduled closures.

Alemeda Street

Chapel Creek Boulevard

Spur 580/W. Camp Bowie Boulevard

  • ## Daily, Jul 14-18, 9a-3p: The eastbound and westbound SP 580 at the I-30 interchange will have closures to re-stripe for new traffic operations.

Linkcrest Drive

  • ## Nightly, Jul 13-17, 7p-4a: Linkcrest Drive under I-30 will be closed in coordination with storm drain construction. Traffic will be detoured on the eastbound I-30 frontage road to Chapel Creek Boulevard, then northbound on Chapel Creek Boulevard to I-30.

Lost Creek Boulevard

  • ## Daily, Jul 14-18, 9a-3p: Northbound Lost Creek Boulevard intersecting the eastbound I-30 frontage road will have flagger control for final pavement striping.
