Roadwork

Typical closure times are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for weekday closures and 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for weeknight closures. Lane closures are allowed all day Saturday, and Sunday (as needed).

Please note closures are subject to changes due to weather and schedule.

Project 1: I-20 Closures

I-20 Mainlanes

  • Daily: right and left shoulder closures throughout the project area from Markum Ranch Road to the I-20/I-30 split.
  • Daily: westbound various single lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Markum Ranch Road to Walsh Ranch Parkway from Friday, October 31st to Saturday, November 7th for sign and median barrier installation (no closure on Sunday, November 2nd). EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Daily: eastbound right lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between I-20/I-30 split to Markum Ranch Road from Thursday, October 30th to Friday, October 31st for installation of sign structures. EXPECT DELAYS.

Project 2: I-20/I-30 Closures

I-20 Mainlanes

  • Ongoing: westbound right lane of I-20 closed approaching the Walsh Ranch Parkway entrance ramp (one lane remains open for traffic to continue onto I-20 or exit to FM 1187/FM 3325). This closure is expected to last through 2025. A traffic pattern change occurred to move traffic on I-20 to the right onto the new paving in this area. EXPECT DELAYS AND USE CAUTION TO ADJUST TO THE NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN.
  • Daily: various eastbound and westbound single lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between I-20/I-30 split and FM 1187/FM 3325 on weekdays starting on Friday, October 31st to Friday, November 7th for electrical installation. EXPECT DELAYS.

I-30 Mainlanes

  • Daily: various eastbound and westbound single lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Walsh Ranch Parkway and I-20/I-30 split on weekdays starting on Friday, October 31st to Friday, November 7th for electrical installation. EXPECT DELAYS.

I-20 Frontage Roads

  • Ongoing: eastbound frontage road between FM 1187/FM 3325 entrance ramp to just west of Walsh Ranch Parkway exit ramp reduced to one travel lane. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Ongoing: westbound frontage road between Walsh Ranch Parkway entrance ramp to I-30 and I-20 exit ramp to FM 1187/FM 3325 closed. Motorists will be forced to enter westbound I-20 using the entrance ramp from Walsh Ranch Parkway and then can continue to westbound I-20 or exit to FM 1187/FM 3325 to rejoin the westbound frontage road. EXPECT DELAYS.

I-30 Frontage Roads

  • Ongoing: westbound frontage road between Walsh Ranch Parkway entrance ramp to I-30 and I-20 exit ramp to FM 1187/FM 3325 closed. Motorists will be forced to enter westbound I-20 using the entrance ramp from Walsh Ranch Parkway and then can continue to westbound I-20 or exit to FM 1187/FM 3325 to rejoin the westbound frontage road. EXPECT DELAYS.

Project 3: I-30 Closures

I-30 Mainlanes

  • Ongoing: eastbound right lane closure from Linkcrest Drive to Spur 580 exit. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Ongoing: the existing westbound exit ramp to Linkcrest Drive was closed in August 2025. Motorists will now use the Spur 580/Camp Bowie Boulevard exit (Exit 2) and continue on the frontage road to access Linkcrest Drive.
  • Ongoing: the Linkcrest Drive entrance ramp to eastbound I-30 was closed in August 2025. Motorists should follow detour signs and enter eastbound I-30 from Spur 580/W. Camp Bowie Boulevard. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Daily: various eastbound and westbound single lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Alemeda Street and Linkcrest Drive from Friday, October 31st to Saturday, November 8th for trucking access and bridge work. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Overnight: westbound I-30 will be closed overnight between Spur 580 and Linkcrest Drive from 9 p.m. on Thursday, November 6th to 5 a.m. on Friday, November 7th for installation of bridge beams. Motorists follow the signed detour to the westbound frontage road at the Spur 580 exit. EXPECT DELAYS.

I-30 Frontage Roads

  • Ongoing: westbound frontage road between Alemeda Street and Old Weatherford Road reduced to one travel lane. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Ongoing: eastbound frontage road between Alemeda exit ramp and Alemeda Street reduced to one travel lane. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Ongoing: the frontage roads between Linkcrest Drive and east of Spur 580/W. Camp Bowie Boulevard are permanently converted from two-way to one-way operation (see I-30 frontage road conversion graphic) and reduced to one travel lane. EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Daily: the two-way crossover at Mary’s Creek will be periodically closed for bridge construction activities between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. from Friday, October 31st to Saturday, November 8th for bridge construction. Motorists should follow detour signs to Chapel Creek Boulevard to access westbound I-30. EXPECT DELAYS.

Spur 580/W. Camp Bowie Boulevard

  • Ongoing: the westbound Spur 580/W. Camp Bowie Boulevard entrance ramp to I-30 closed on Wednesday, September 3rd for bridge construction activities. Motorists can use either Linkcrest Dr. or Chapel Creek Blvd. for alternate access to westbound I-30 (MAP). EXPECT DELAYS.
  • Daily: the two-way crossover at Mary’s Creek will be periodically closed for bridge construction activities between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. from Friday, October 31st to Saturday, November 8th for bridge construction. Motorists should follow detour signs to Chapel Creek Boulevard to access westbound I-30. EXPECT DELAYS.

Alemeda Street

  • Daily: Alemeda Street between the I-30 eastbound and westbound frontage roads will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for bridge construction activities from Monday, October 27th to Saturday, November 1st for bridge construction. Motorists should follow detour signs to RM 2871/Longvue Avenue or seek alternate routes. EXPECT DELAYS.

I-820 West Loop Mainlanes

  • Ongoing: southbound right lane between Westpoint Boulevard and the eastbound and westbound exits to I-30 closed for roadway construction. EXPECT DELAYS.

I-820 West Loop Frontage Roads

  • Ongoing: the southbound frontage road is reduced to one lane between Westpoint Drive and Alemeda Street for bridge construction activities. EXPECT DELAYS.
