Notes:
1. Roadways with longitudinal traffic barriers must provide a minimum 4-ft shoulder from the travel lane edge. The shoulder across a bridge will be measured from the travel lane edge to the nominal face of rail. This provides additional offset for high-speed operation and door-opening space for vehicles stopped on the shoulder of the roadway.
2. 12-ft lanes are permissible on ramps with multiple lanes.
