Section 3: Bicycle Level of Traffic Stress Inventory and Classification
This form should be used to inventory a bicycle accommodation when conducting a bicycle level of traffic stress analysis. Only data applicable to the bicycle accommodation should be filled out (for characteristic definitions and other information regarding this inventory, see Chapter 14. Add more rows for repeat facility types as needed.

1
Applicable to bike accommodations that are adjacent to vehicular traffic (does not include bicycle lanes separated by a large vertical barrier)
2
Use Table 14-22 if facility is adjacent to on-street parking or Table 14-23 if facility is not adjacent to on-street parking 3
Applicable to mixed traffic bicycle accommodations4
Applicable to bicycle facilities at intersection approaches5
Use Table 14-25 if accommodations is a pocket bike lane (a bike lane positioned between a right-turn lane and a through lane at an intersection), use Table 14-26 for mixed traffic bicycle facilities at intersection right-turns, use Table 14-27 for mixed traffic bicycle facilities at intersection left-turns6
Right-turn length should only be collected if analyzing bicycle accommodations with right-turn at intersection approach7
Lanes crossed is the number of through lanes crossed to go from the bicycle accommodation to the left-turn lane, should only be collected if analyzing bicycle accommodation with leftturn at intersection approach8
Applicable to locations that are unsignalized intersection crossings or midblock crossings (Table 14-24) Facility3 : This form should be used to inventory a bicycle accommodation when conducting a bicycle level of traffic stress analysis. Only data applicable to the bicycle accommodation should be filled out (for characteristic definitions and other information regarding this inventory, see Chapter 14. Add more rows for repeat facility types as needed. Facility1 : (Table 14-25, Table 14-26, or Table 14- 27) 5 (Table 14-22 or Table 14-23) 2 Facility4 : 9Use Table 14-28 if the accommodation is an unsignalized intersection crossing or midblock crossing with no raised median, use Table 14-29 if the accommodation is an unsignalized crossing or midblock crossing with a raised median (1 to 2 lanes), use Table 14-30 if the accommodation is an unsignalized intersection crossing or midblock crossing with a raised median (3 or more lanes)
