In-person participants are invited to come and go any time from 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2023.

Purpose

The City of Georgetown is hosting an open house to share preliminary design plans and receive public comments for proposed improvements to FM 971.

In-person open house attendees will be able to review project materials and ask questions of City of Georgetown staff and/or consultants and leave written comments.

The City is also providing a virtual open house for individuals who would like to participate online rather than in person. Online participants will be able to view the same information delivered at the in-person open house.

Description The proposed project would widen the two lanes to a four-lane divided roadway to improve traffic flow and enhance vehicular, pedestrian, and bicycle travel safety. The proposed project would also include intersection and access improvements to San Gabriel Park and the construction of a shared-use path for pedestrians and bicycles.
