Notice of availability of final environmental assessment

Purpose This notice advises the public that the City of Austin has issued a final environmental assessment (EA) for the proposed East Braker Lane Extension project, and that the final EA is available for public review.  
Description

The proposed project would extend East Braker Lane from Dawes Place to Samsung Boulevard in Travis County, Texas. The approved final EA is on file and available for inspection Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at at the TxDOT Austin District Office, 7901 N. I-35, Austin, TX 78753.  It is also available online at AustinTexas.gov/EBrakerLane.

Pursuant to 23 CFR 771.119(h), TxDOT will issue a finding of no significant impact (FONSI) for this project no sooner than 30 days after the issuance of this notice of availability.

Memorandum of Understanding The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 9, 2019, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
