TxDOT is proposing improvements to US 82 from the Business US 82/SH 37 junction to FM 412 in the City of Clarksville, Red River County, Texas. TxDOT held a virtual public meeting on Aug. 13, 2020.
The existing US 82 highway is a two-lane rural highway with one 12-foot-wide travel lane in each direction. Other proposed improvements include reconstruction of interchanges, ramps and bridges, in addition to sidewalk, trail and drainage improvements.
At this time, TxDOT has not yet determined the need for additional ROW or the potential for displacements of any residences or nonresidential structures. TxDOT has also not yet determined the potential environmental impacts for this project. The need for additional ROW, potential displacements, and environmental impacts would be determined at a later stage of project development.
