Purpose:

TxDOT will conduct a public hearing regarding proposed roadway improvements to FM 1463 from I-10W to FM 1093 in Fort Bend County, Texas. The purpose of the hearing is to present the proposed improvements for FM 1463 and to receive public comment.

Description:

The existing roadway consists of a two-lane road with no median and open ditches on both sides. The purpose of the project is to improve the safety, mobility and operational efficiency of the roadway by widening the existing roadway from two lanes to four and six lanes, with a raised median and 5-foot sidewalks on both sides.

The proposed project is 6.7 miles in length and would require 28 acres of additional right of way.  No residential or commercial displacements are anticipated.

The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
