Open House - I-10 Connect

Purpose:

TxDOT will conduct an open house to provide information and gather input on a proposed project on Interstate 10, from Loop 375 (Cesar Chavez Border Highway) to Yandell Drive.

Description:

The Texas Department of Transportation will conduct a public meeting on Thursday, July 7, 2016, to provide information and gather input regarding proposed improvements, which consist of constructing additional direct connectors, ramps and/or auxiliary lanes and widening existing ramp and direct connectors between I-10, K-110, US 54 and Loop 375 (Cesar Chavez Border Highway).

The goals and objectives of the I-10 Connect project are:

  • Provide needed connections between I-10 and Loop 375
  • Improve mobility for future I-10 reconstruction projects
  • Maximize existing assets and minimize reconstruction
  • Improve queuing on approach to Bridge of the Americas Port of Entry
  • Minimize impacts to the environment

Maps of the project study area and preliminary layouts of project alternatives will be available for review and comment. Project staff will be available to answer questions.

Those wishing to attend are encouraged to do so at their convenience. Written comments from the public regarding this project are encouraged. Comments may be submitted at the public meeting, by email to HDR Inc. or mailed to the following address by July 25 at 5 p.m. (MST).
