Open House - US 83/US 84

Purpose:
TxDOT will conduct an open house to gather public input regarding safety improvements on US 83/US 84 from Iberis Road to the US 83/US 84 split in the southern portion of Taylor County.
Description:
The purpose of the meeting is to present public comments from the June 30 open house and to hear further from the public regarding the prioritization of possible projects and improvements along the roadway.
TxDOT staff will be available from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. to answer questions and take verbal and written comments. This is the second of three open houses planned to offer the public an opportunity to give input and have meaningful dialog with transportation officials.
All citizens are invited and encouraged to attend this public meeting. The meeting location is handicapped accessible. Anyone wishing to attend who has special needs should call (325) 676-6817 at least three days prior to the meeting.
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
