SH 130 Segments 5 & 6 is a 40-mile tolled extension that begins at SH 45 Southeast and ends at I-10 in Seguin. Opened in 2012, Segments 5 & 6 connect to the northern segments of SH 130 that begin in Georgetown, forming a 91-mile alternative to I-35 through Central Texas. The extension is state-owned, but is financed, built, maintained, and operated under the terms of a 50-year Facility Concession Agreement. The $1.3 billion facility gives the state a share of its toll revenue, which is used for other regional mobility improvements.
