Virtual public meeting

Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 4 p.m. CT

Public comment deadline Comments must be received on or before Monday, May 30th, 2022, to be part of the public meeting record.
Virtual details The virtual public meeting will be posted on this web page beginning by Thursday, May 19th, 2022, at 4p.m. and will remain online through on Monday, May 30th, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. Please note, this is not a live event. The materials can be viewed at your convenience.
Purpose The purpose of the public meeting is to gather public input on the initial adoption of the 2023-2026 Rural Transportation Improvement Program for the projects in Bell, McLennan, Limestone, Hill, Falls, Bosque, Hamilton, and Coryell counties. A short presentation, materials for review, and opportunity for comment will be available.

The Rural TIP includes all regionally significant projects to be funded within a TxDOT District during the next four years, including those eligible for federal funding. As such, these meetings offer the public an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed priorities. A project in the Rural TIP is a project coming to your community. The Rural TIP is the first step on the road to producing a Statewide Transportation Improvement Program.

The Rural TIP meetings are being held pursuant to Title 43, Texas Administrative Code, Section 16.102, which calls for an opportunity for public comment concerning the program. A short presentation and exhibits showing how the Rural TIP operates and projects included in it will be displayed at the public meeting.

Accessibility The virtual public meeting will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. If you need interpretation or translation services or are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to attend and participate in the virtual public meeting, please contact Christi Bonham, Waco District at 254-867-2731 no later than 4 p.m. CT, Friday, May 13, 2022. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for the TxDOT to arrange.
