Purpose:
The purpose of the meeting is to present proposed improvements to FM 2113 (Spring Valley Road) through the city of Hewitt, Texas. This project would extend from FM 2063 (Sun Valley Drive) to FM 1695 (Hewitt Drive). This will be an open house come and go format, and staff will be available to answer questions; no formal presentation will be made.
Description:
The existing roadway on FM 2113 consists of two 12-foot travel lanes with shoulders that vary from 1 foot to 8 foot with an open drainage ditch. Center left-turn lanes are provided at the intersection of Old Temple Road and Spring Valley Elementary. The proposed project would widen FM 2113 to include 12-foot travel lanes, 14-foot continuous center left-turn lane and 10-foot shoulders. The existing open drainage ditch would be replaced with curb and gutter. No additional right of way would be required.

The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and TxDOT.
