Open House - FM 16 From 4 Miles West of FM 849 to US 69 in Lindale

| Purpose: | TxDOT invites you to an open house to review and comment on proposed improvements to FM 16 in Lindale. Last fall, several alternatives were presented at a public meeting. Based on public input and additional engineering studies, a final recommended alternative is now available to the public for comment. Staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide information. There will be no formal presentation, so citizens are encouraged to come and go at their convenience. |

| Description: | Improvements to FM 16 from 4 miles west of FM 849 to US 69 in Lindale are intended to ease congestion and improve safety. Proposed work includes widening from a two-lane road to a four-lane roadway with a flush median. This project will tie into the anticipated future Toll 49 around Lindale. The project will require new right of way from adjacent property owners.
