Notice Affording Opportunity for Public Hearing – I-10 East from I-410 to Loop 1604
Purpose:
TxDOT is proposing improvements to I-10 East, from 0.6 miles west of I-410 to 2 miles east of Loop 1604, in Bexar County, Texas.
Description:
The proposed project improvements include:
- Upgrading the existing I-10 mainlanes and adding one lane in each direction
- Reconstructing interchanges and ramps along project limits
- Modifying the frontage roads between Loop 1604 and Pfiel Road
The purpose of the proposed project is to increase capacity to meet increased growth demand, improve safety and mobility, convert frontage roads from two-way to one-way operation, and upgrade to current design standards.
Although approximately 5 acres of additional right-of-way is required, no residential or business structures would be displaced.
Any interested citizen may request a public hearing covering the social, economic and environmental effects of the proposed location and design for this project. Requests for a public hearing must be submitted in writing on or before Dec. 16, 2017, to:

The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
