Purpose: | The purpose of the meeting is to provide information on the FY 2017-2020 Rural Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for the San Antonio District, and a hearing will be held to provide information regarding transportation projects and programs that affect bicycle use on the state highway systems within the San Antonio District. | ||
Description: | The TxDOT San Antonio District will conduct a public meeting on Thursday, May 19, 2016. An open house will begin at 5 p.m. with a presentation at 6 p.m., at the TxDOT District Headquarters, 4615 NW Loop 410 San Antonio, Texas. The purpose of the meeting is to provide information on the FY 2017-2020 Rural TIP for the San Antonio District as well as to provide information regarding transportation projects and programs that affect bicycle use on the state highway systems within the San Antonio District. Counties in the San Antonio District are: Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Frio, Guadalupe, Kendall, Kerr, McMullen, Medina, Uvalde and Wilson.
The “Department Policies Affecting Bicycle use on the State Highway System” portion of the meeting will be a formalized public hearing. This formal hearing portion will begin immediately after the above mentioned presentation on the FY 2017-2020 Rural Transportation Improvement Program. In accordance with Texas Administrative Code, Title 43, § 25.55(b), the TxDOT San Antonio District hearing on district transportation programs and policies affecting bicycle use on the state highway system will explain the bicycle policies and programs.
