Public Meeting - US 83 Relief Route

Where:	La Joya High School Cafeteria 604 N Coyote Blvd. La Joya, TX	When:	Thursday, May 9, 2013 Exhibit Viewing Period: 5:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. Presentation: 6 p.m.
Purpose:	The purpose of the meeting is to solicit public comment on the proposed US 83 Relief Route project at La Joya/Peñitas in Hidalgo County, Texas.
Description:	Proposed improvements include the following: Phase I Construction of a four-lane divided rural highway separated by a depressed median 12 foot wide travel lanes 4 foot wide inside shoulder 10 foot wide outside shoulder Future Phases Construction of main lanes and overpasses within the depressed median 12 foot wide travel lanes 4 foot wide inside shoulder 10 foot wide outside shoulder Approximately 340 acres of additional right of way would be required and would include potential relocations of residential and commercial properties.
