| Purpose: | The purpose of the public meeting is to allow the public the opportunity to view and comment on the proposed improvements to State Highway (SH) 107 in Combes, Texas. | |||
| Description: | TxDOT, in conjunction with the Town of Combes, will hold a public meeting regarding the proposed improvements to SH 107, from Business 77 to Interstate 69 East/(US 77) in Cameron County, Texas. The proposed project would include the widening of SH 107 from a two-lane roadway to a four-lane curb-and-gutter roadway with sidewalks, construction of southbound and northbound turnarounds at the I-69E intersection and drainage improvements. The purpose of the proposed project would be to add capacity and improve mobility and safety for traffic operations along the corridor and at the intersection of SH 107 and I-69E. The majority of the proposed project would be done within the existing right of way (ROW). Less than one acre of new ROW would be acquired at the southeast corner of the intersection of Business 77 and SH 107. All interested citizens are invited to attend this public meeting to provide input regarding the proposed project. Verbal and/or written comments may be presented at the public meeting. Written comments may also be submitted by Friday, May 13, 2016, 10 days after the public meeting, either in person or by mail to TxDOT, Attn: Pharr District Engineer, 600 West Interstate 2, Pharr, Texas 78577. Comments can also be received by fax at (956) 702-6110 or by email. For additional information on the project, please call the TxDOT Project Manager at (956) 702-6181. The public meeting will be conducted in English with Spanish translation services available. Persons interested in attending the meeting who have special communication or accommodation needs are encouraged to contact Norma Robledo with TxDOT at (956) 702-6161. Requests should be made at least four days prior to the public meeting. Every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate these needs. |
