| Purpose: | TxDOT, in partnership with the City of McAllen, invites you to a public meeting for proposed improvements to SH 336 (10th Street) between Trenton Road and SH 107. Project staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide information. Citizens are invited to present verbal and written comments regarding the proposed project. Written comments may be submitted until Friday, May 8, 2015 in person or by mail to: TxDOT Pharr District The meeting will be conducted in English with Spanish translation services available. Persons with special communication or accommodation needs are encouraged to call (956) 702-6161 at least four days prior to the meeting. Every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate special needs. |

| Description: | TxDOT is proposing constructing a raised median with landscaping on SH 336 (10th Street) between Trenton Road and SH 107. The purpose of the proposed project is to enhance safety and improve traffic operation. The raised median will enhance safety and improve traffic operations by reducing the number of potential crash and conflict points. The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT. |
