Purpose:

The purposes of these meetings are to allow the public the opportunity to view project related information and provide comments on the proposed SL 195 highway. The presentation will be the same at both meetings.

Description:

The proposed project will be constructed in three phases as traffic volumes increase and funding becomes available. This project involves constructing a four-lane divided rural highway with a grass median within a proposed right of way (ROW) width that varies between 300-450 feet.

The public meetings will be conducted in English, with Spanish translation services also available.  Persons interested in attending the meeting who have special communication or accommodation needs are encouraged to call (956) 702-6161.  Requests should be made at least five days prior to the public meetings.  Every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate these needs.

The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and TxDOT.
