Purpose:

The purpose of the public meeting is to gather public input on the proposed improvements to FM 676 and Mile 5 Road from SH 107 (Conway Ave.) to FM 2220 (Ware Rd.) in Hidalgo County, Texas.

Description:

Proposed improvements include the widening and reconstructing FM 676 and Mile 5 Rd. to provide an 82-foot-wide curb and gutter roadway consisting of four 12-foot-wide travel lanes, one 14-foot-wide continuous left-turn lane, two 10-foot-wide shoulders, and 5-foot-wide sidewalks on both sides of the roadway within a proposed 100-foot-wide right of way. Drainage would be provided by a proposed underground storm drain system. Spanish translation services will be available.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
